Richard A. Bermudes, M.D.

With over two decades of dedicated service, Dr. Bermudes is a deeply empathetic and collaborative psychiatrist, board-certified and specialized in treating a spectrum of emotional conditions, including depressive and anxiety disorders, trauma-induced conditions, and cognitive disorders.

Dr. Bermudes has pioneered the adoption of groundbreaking treatments in the psychiatric field. His expertise encompasses a broad range of therapeutic modalities, such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), Esketamine, Ketamine treatments, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

His leadership and expertise have been recognized widely, evidenced by his role as a Fellow and past President of the Clinical TMS Society, where he also contributes to the insurance committee. His academic contributions include serving as a Diplomat of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Further cementing his influence in psychiatric treatment, Dr. Bermudes is the lead editor of the widely acclaimed book Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation: Clinical Applications for Psychiatric Practice.

Ian is a dedicated Registered Nurse with a wealth of experience spanning over a decade. He earned his Nursing Degree from the University of South Dakota in 2014, embarking on a fulfilling journey in the healthcare field.

Throughout his career, Ian has showcased his versatility and commitment by serving in various healthcare settings. He has worked in addiction treatment facilities, state prisons, county jail systems, and across intensive care units including adult, cardiac, and pediatric ICUs. His expertise extends to case management, outpatient surgery, and travel nursing, demonstrating his adaptability and proficiency in diverse healthcare environments.

Ian's passion for nursing is evident in his continuous pursuit of excellence and his unwavering dedication to patient care. He finds fulfillment in being of service to his patients and community, embodying the values of compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

Prior to his nursing career, Ian proudly served in the United States Air Force, a testament to his sense of duty and commitment to serving others.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Ian embraces life with a spirit of adventure. He enjoys spending time in the wilderness, exploring both domestic and international destinations. His love for travel reflects his curiosity and openness to new experiences, enriching both his personal and professional growth.
