While TMS sessions are in person, Dr. Bermudes conducts medication management and psychotherapy appointments over telehealth. In clinical circumstances where in-person meetings are preferred, Dr. Bermudes works with patients and families around these decisions. Please note telehealth sessions can occur in states where Dr. Bermudes is licensed (CA, WA, NV, TX).
The DEA is issuing new rules regarding controlled substances (i.e. scheduled medications). You will need a referral from a clinician who has performed an in-person exam or Dr. Bermudes can arrange to conduct an in-person exam prior to receiving scheduled medications if you are a telehealth patient.
Dr. Bermudes accepts Mastercard/Visa, HSA/FSA cards, and ACH payments. Dr. Bermudes requires a credit card on file for payments.
Dr. Bermudes recognizes that most crises happen outside sessions and can communicate via secure messaging or phone calls regarding urgent or emergency matters. Dr. Bermudes prioritizes being available when crises arise to work collaboratively to get helpful care.
Dr. Bermudes provides out-of-network direct care with insurance plans to offer the quality and type of care he can stand behind. Dr. Bermudes advocates at the national level for increasing mental health parity and accessibility to innovative and quality mental health care and hopes to in the future to be able to work in a more aligned way with all stakeholders. Dr. Bermudes provides “superbills” for out-of-network reimbursement for covered services if your plan has this benefit (e.g., a PPO plan). You can submit superbills through the Osmind app.
