Standard ("conventional") Deep TMS is the most established and most broadly covered form of this treatment, and it's the foundation of what we do. It's FDA-cleared, delivered over a standard course of sessions, and covered by most major insurers for depression.
It also reaches further across the lifespan than any other TMS system. Deep TMS is now FDA-cleared for patients ages 15 and abovewhich means we can care for:
Adolescents (15–21) — as an add-on to therapy and/or medication, for major depression
Adults — for major depression, including depression that hasn't responded to medication
Older adults — the same established treatment
FDA-cleared uses of Deep TMS include: major depressive disorder; reducing the anxiety symptoms that so often come with depression; obsessive-compulsive disorder; and smoking cessation.
Accelerated Deep TMS

For patients who want results with fewer trips to the clinic, we offer an accelerated Deep TMS protocol — and Dr. Bermudes is one of the physicians who helped prove it works.
He co-authored the 2026 multisite randomized trial published in Brain Stimulation comparing the accelerated protocol to the standard six-week schedule. In that study:
Both protocols produced strong, comparable improvement in moderate-to-severe depression — the accelerated schedule was statistically non-inferiorto the standard one.
Patients on the accelerated protocol reached remission faster — a median of 21 days versus 28 — while attending roughly 70% fewer in-clinic sessionsduring the active treatment phase.
In the accelerated group, 87.8% of patients responded and 78.0% reached remission on the clinician-rated depression scale, with benefits holding for patients who also had significant anxiety.
